This song has an interesting title. It was written and recorded in 1928 by “Georgia Tom” Dorsey and “Tampa Red” Whittaker and they named it after a bit of street slang: “It’s tight like that.” Ever since the song first came out, even up to today, somebody’s always been determined to make something salacious out of it but can’t quite do it.
